2017 Ford Explorer Wins Praise from MotorWeek Pundits

Are you in the market for a full-size SUV? Well, if so, we here at Bob Ridings Westown Ford of Jacksonville think you should have a good, long look at ours, the 2017 Explorer.

Why's that, you ask?

Our friends over at MotorWeek are here to provide some insight; join them in the clip below:

The Explorer's mid-level engine -- a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder -- is a solid selection.

Optional with the Base and XLT models, the turbo-four syncs with a six-speed automatic transmission to deliver a hearty 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Standard fare includes front-wheel drive; an all-wheel platform, meanwhile, is optional.

The fuel efficiency of this engine is nothing to sneeze at, either; when had in front-wheel form, for instance, it's rated at a respectable 22 mpg combined (19 city/28 highway).

To learn more about this capable crossover, or to take one for a spin, we suggest you set a course for our Jacksonville, IL location. Our automotive aces are on hand to address your every query about the Explorer, or any other Ford model within the current lineup.
